On April 22, Supreme People's Court issues the Annual Report on IP Cases for the first time. The report publicizes the excerpts of ratio decidendi of the 23 typical IP cases concluded in 2008 by the IP Tribunal of Supreme People's Court.

The report includes the preface, 16 IP-related civil cases and seven IP-related administrative cases. The cases selected by the report cover various types of IP disputes, including patent cases, copyright cases, trademark cases, cases of unfair competition, cases of technology contracts and cases of patent and trademark right authorization and affirmation. These cases involve not only the problem of entity criteria, but also the procedure problem of jurisdiction.
