The CNIPA issued notices regarding the official fee for Patent Term Compensation on August 6, 2024.  Hereinafter is a summary of the notices.   

 1. Official fee for Request for Patent Term Compensation is RMB200 per case.   Requests for Patent Term Compensation filed prior to July 26, 2024 must pay the request fee before October 26, 2024, otherwise the request will not be approved.

 2. Annuity fee for the compensated term over 20-year: RMB8,000 per year, and the term less 1 year does not need to pay annuity fee.   The annuity fee for the compensated term must be paid before the expiration of the 20-year term in a lump sum (instead of paying it every year), and there is no procedure for late payment or restoration procedure if the deadline was missed.   So, it is VERY IMPORTANT to mark your record and inform your annuity service provider to pay the fee before the expiration of 20-year term in a lump sum.
