On September 21, 2017, the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) and Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts of the Kingdom of Cambodia (MIH) jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Intellectual Property Cooperation, which clearly states that valid invention patents granted by SIPO can be extended to Cambodia and receive protection.
